Behind the scenes: With MeiraT on The Stone Set

Behind the scenes: With MeiraT on The Stone Set

We were so thrilled when we were tapped to be featured on The Stone Set. For those of you who don't know, The Stone Set is a site for Jewelry featuring four categories of editorial and information, creating a news source for people who enjoy jewelry, luxury, and personal style. All content and photography is original. The shoot took place at Meira's home in New York City. Look at the amazing art and sculptures!

Here is Meira posing!

Check out Brigitte, MeiraT's daughter and MeiraT's junior designer!

Meira pulled some of her favorites from the MeiraT collection, and dug deep into her own personal Jewelry box to feature some of her own favorite pieces. The Diamond necklace in the center is  Meira's engagement ring that she redesigned as a necklace with the signature MeiraT diamond by the yard chain! Also love how this was photographed in an antique box against the backdrop of a Persian rug.

Both the necklace and the door in the shot below have a great story. The necklace is Meira's own , each disc is engraved with the initial of one of her grandchildren. She adds a disc every time she has a new grandchild.  The door is an antique from a palace in India. Meira's husband Tobie purchased it in India on one of their business trips. It was so heavy and large it had to be airlifted into their apartment. The whole upper west side city street was closed to allow the crane in!

These are some vintage finds Meira procured on a trip to Brussels 30 years ago. She loved art deco and used to collect art deco pieces. Her love of art deco still inspires her designs.

We can't wait to see the article and images when they are featured on The Stone Set in the new year! Thanks Jenna and Emerald, we loved spending the morning with you!
